Undertow is a mobile news app that strives to bring objectivity back into the news by leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to perform deep analysis on individual news articles before the reader sees them.

We want to help you analyze the media and create a rational starting place for discourse.

Our team built an entirely automated system that uses machine learning algorithms to analyze stories in depth and break down important aspects of their content.

The artificial intelligence behind Undertow analyzes each article and builds descriptors based on politics, emotion, subjectivity, and polarity

Additionally, our app catalogs trend information including social media shares, and related hashtag feeds
